15 years of great content Exclusive WorldTempus anniversary edition unique piece watches
WorldTempus has teamed up with a select few watch brands to offer some unique pieces for sale for its 15th anniversary.
After a party celebrating 15 years on the web earlier this year, followed by 15 competitions during Baselworld and a series of articles throughout the year looking back over our 15 years of editorial coverage on the web, WorldTempus now offers a fantastic opportunity to buy unique watches produced specifically for WorldTempus by a select few luxury watch brands to celebrate our 15th anniversary in style.
The brands cover the A-Z of the watchmaking spectrum, from the Anonimo Militare to the Zenith Big Pilot, with prices to suit all budgets and a host of bonus gifts as part of our exclusive 15th anniversary package. It is a first for all the brands involved, since they have either never before offered a unique piece for sale or never offered a personalized dial before. All are specially engraved with a “unique piece” inscription to prove their special provenance. Our director will act as the personal concierge for all orders, so if you are seriously interested in any of the watches, just drop him a line (firstname.lastname@example.org) and he will handle your order personally. Given that these are special orders placed directly with the brands concerned, there are certain conditions that apply to all orders.
WorldTempus 15th anniversary unique pieces
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Platinum
Bulgari pays tribute to our 15th anniversary by removing the bold 12 usually found at 12 o’clock on this piece and replacing it with a unique “15” at 3 o’clock on the deep blue dial of the Octo Finissimo in platinum. At just 5mm thick, this ultra-thin manually-wound watch is fitted with the Bulgari BVL 128 calibre which offers a power reserve of 70 hours. Its 40mm case is in platinum – a precious metal that has gained 40% in value this year alone! Add the prestige of the watch, the magnificent Reuge Satori mechanical music box in mahogany (worth 990 Swiss francs), a luxury Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down body warmer (worth 300 Swiss francs) and a case of six bottles of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 290 Swiss francs), plus a weekend for two in Switzerland’s Jungfrau Region (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs*) and these free gifts worth over 2,500 Swiss francs make the retail price for this unique piece look like a bargain!
Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle
The venerable Geneva brand has succeeded in incorporating the 15th anniversary theme in the most discrete way in the form of slender Arabic “15” numerals at 3 o’clock that blend in perfectly with the baton hour markers on this refined Traditionnelle small-seconds watch in red gold. A 38mm diameter case ensures universal appeal and the manually-wound calibre 440AS inside bears the hallowed Geneva Hallmark, which is awarded only to watches that are produced in Geneva and finished to the highest possible standards. This unique piece will be delivered with a pair of Gyro cufflinks by Encelade (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs), an Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down body warmer (worth 300 Swiss francs), a case of six bottles of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 290 Swiss francs) and a weekend for two in Switzerland’s Jungfrau region (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs*), as well as a copy of Franco Cologni’s book “Les Artistes du Temps” (available in several different languages). That’s around 3,000 Swiss francs’ worth of bonus gifts all for the Vacheron Consantin Traditionnelle.
Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar
Frederique Constant’s unbeatable value perpetual calendar is rendered even more appealing as this unique piece on which the hour marker at 3 o’clock is replaced with “XV” in Roman numerals to commemorate our 15th anniversary. It comes with a high-end RDI Charles Kaeser Horizon watch winder with personal engraving (worth 600 Swiss francs) to keep its self-winding movement running when the watch is not worn, an Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down bodywarmer (worth 300 Swiss francs), a bottle of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 50 Swiss francs) and a weekend for two in Switzerland’s Jungfrau region (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs*), all for the Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar’s standard retail.
Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special
A bronze watch with a strong identity, the Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special has already captured the heart of at least one of the WorldTempus team, who has bought his own. But this Zenith pilot watch is extra special, since it is the only one available with the “12” at 12 o’clock discreetly transformed into a 15 in commemoration of our 15th anniversary. This imposing piece, with its 45mm diameter, is for the discerning and distinguished gentleman. Its self-winding mechanical movement beats at a sedate 18,000 vibrations per hour – half that of its sportier sibling, the legendary El Primero calibre. A natural leather strap completes the vintage pilot look.
As part of our 15th anniversary package, you can buy the Zenith Big Pilot unique piece with a high-end RDI Charles Kaeser Horizon watch winder with personal engraving (worth 600 Swiss francs), an Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down body warmer (worth 300 Swiss francs), a bottle of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 50 Swiss francs) and a weekend for two in Switzerland’s Jungfrau region (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs*).
Tiffany East-West Automatic
The distinctive design of the rectangular Tiffany East-West is made even more so by the presence of a “15” in place of the “3” at 3 o’clock in Tiffany’s signature blue to celebrate our 15th anniversary. This unique piece is delivered with a SwissKubik StartBox watch winder (worth 398 Swiss francs), an Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down body warmer (worth 300 Swiss francs), a weekend for two in Switzerland’s Jungfrau region (worth over 1,000 Swiss francs*) and a bottle of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 50 Swiss francs), all for the standard Tiffany East-West.
With its bronze case, crown protector at 12 o’clock and oversized luminescent numerals, the Anomio Militare exudes Florentine spirit. In this unique piece produced for WorldTempus, our 15th anniversary is marked by an original small seconds subdial at 3 o’clock, on which only the number 15 is visible, and the 15th of the month is highlighted in red on the date counter at 9 o’clock.
As part of the special WorldTempus 15th anniversary package this unique piece is sold with an Anonimo bag, a Swiss Kubik StartBox watch winder (worth 398 Swiss francs), an Air Force Academy Switzerland wild goose down body warmer (worth 300 Swiss francs) and a bottle of Infinite 8 champagne (worth 50 Swiss francs). This bonus package is included free of charge for the standard Anonimo Militare.
These unique pieces will be made to order by the brands concerned. Payment must be made in full in advance and no refunds will be given. The watches will be available for collection in Geneva or can be shipped worldwide free of charge. Prices indicated are in Swiss francs including Swiss VAT of 8%. International deliveries will be charged exclusive of Swiss VAT but the buyer will be liable for local customs duties on receipt of the watch.
Orders will be handled personally by our editor-in-chief and no other correspondence will be entered into. Prices are not negotiable and no value-in-kind will be offered in lieu of individual items included in the special anniversary packages. Please only order if you are seriously interested in purchasing the watch. All orders will be treated on a first come, first served basis and will only be confirmed once the purchase price has been received in full.
The Jungfrau Region package includes bed and breakfast for two nights for two people in a 4-star hotel in the Jungfrau Region. It does not include flights or transfers, or ski passes in the winter season. The package is valid until 31st December 2018.
