Breguet Focus on aviation in Luxembourg
A Breguet exhibition during the Journées de la Passion highlights the universe of aviation.
Breguet gained much momentum this year through the participation of numerous watch fairs in 2017. The Manufacture recently presented its timepieces during the Journées de la Passion, an exhibition which took place in the city of Luxembourg. A space dedicated to the universe of aviation allowed for a retrospective to parts of its history. Breguet made a name for itself in this field thanks to Louis Breguet who developed the gyroplane, the forerunner of the helicopter. The House then developed chronograph mechanisms fitted on cockpit instrument panels, before beginning to produce watches for pilots.
Breguet’s archives, kept in Switzerland and in Paris, record the developments that have sustained Breguet watchmaking for more than two centuries. The firm is committed to remaining ahead of its time with a flow of inventions and improvements.Find out more >
