Doxa 120 Years of History
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of its creation, Doxa pays homage to its founder Georges Ducommun, as well as the «Château des Monts» in Le Locle, where he lived for many years.

To celebrate the event, Doxa is launching a jubilee model named Château des Monts. A replica of a 1920s model, this one pays tribute to both the craftsmen and the technical excellence that has shaped the brand's destiny over the years. Two commemorative editions (black dial and white or ivory colored dial), issued in an edition of 120 each, honour Doxa's 120th anniversary.
To mark the same milestone occasion, Doxa has chosen to publish a reference work entitled Doxa 1889. The latter retraces the entire history of the brand from its early days to the present time, and constitutes the most comprehensive body of information on the company to date. Intended for a broad readership, it will delight both knowledgeable historians and watchmaking enthusiasts.
DOXA was founded in 1889 by an independent Swiss entrepreneur, Georges Ducommun. Located in Le Locle (NE), in the heart of the birthplace of Swiss watchmaking, the brand has always offered technical watches with thoughtful pricing. Established in its first years (1905), creative (8-day calibre dedicated to automotive), DOXA also distinguished themselves from the competition with their designs (the Grafic watch, 1957).Find out more >
