The Eberhard & Co. collection will be launched on Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com in February.

The two partners expect that the distribution agreement will facilitate commercial development for the Bienne-based Maison, which has just celebrated its 130th anniversary, and enhance the portfolio of premium Swiss brands available on JD.com.

Eberhard & Co. is already renowned amongst Chinese aficionados of fine watchmaking, mainly on account of its star products, Chrono 4 and 8 Jours (Maison patents). It is now aiming to introduce other lines, which have already achieved great success in Europe and the US, in particular the Scafograf collection. The Eberhard & Co. Collection will be launched on JD.com in February this year.

JD.com is China’s largest retailer, online or offline, as well as the country’s biggest Internet company by revenue. The company sets the standard for online shopping through its commitment to high quality and authenticity, and thus is the ideal channel for Chinese consumers looking for high-end watch collections.
