Eterna was the official timing partner of the Alegra Motorsports team, who won the GTD class of the 2017 Rolex Daytona 24-hour race.

Rolex Daytona 24, which took place on 28 January 2017, is the first major automobile race of the year in the United States. It is one of the Triple Crown of Endurance Racing — the three most gruelling endurance races in the world — alongside the 12-hour Sebring race and the 24-hour Le Mans race.

For 24 hours, 55 racing teams battled for position on the road course at the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida. Eterna was the official timing partner of the Alegra Motorsports team, who went on to win the GTD class.

The winning team was made up of Carlos de Quesada (2007 Daytona GT winner), Michael de Quesada (2016 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama Gold Champion), Jesse Lazare (2016 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama Platinum Champion), Daniel Morad (2016 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama and IMSA North American Champion), and Michael Christensen (Porsche Factory Driver).

In recognition of Eterna’s sponsorship of the team, the Alegra Motorsports team members all received Super KonTiki’s watch.
