For the 2015 Gumball 3000 Foundation benefit auction this May, Armin Strom will offer the opportunity for the top bidder to create a unique timepiece, as part of an immersive horologic experience at the company's manufacture Switzerland.

The auction winner will collaborate with company experts to customize an award-winning Armin Strom Skeleton Pure, including special engravings and PVD colorization of the baseplate and bridges.

Founded in 2013, the Gumball 3000 Foundation benefits disadvantaged youth through education, recreational and environmental focused projects around the world, working alongside established charities and multiple global commercial partners, to assist in their charitable efforts and to guide their respective philanthropic attentions to causes that Gumball 3000 can identify from its unique position as a successful youth culture brand.

Armin Strom - Gumball 3000

The Armin Strom lot will be a highlight of the 2015 Gumball 3000 auction, conducted online by the Christie’s Auction House from May 23-29, during the multi-continent car rally. The special package is one of seven items of sports, celebrity and automotive memorabilia to be auctioned. Proceeds will benefit the youth-related charities supported by the Gumball 3000 Foundation, including The Tony Hawk Foundation, When You Wish Upon a Star, The Nelson Mandela's Children's Fund and The Sir Milton Foundation.

Armin Strom is the official watch partner of Gumball 3000 for 2015. In addition to this unique auction lot, the company created a limited edition Gumball 3000 collection to commemorate this year's rally.

The manual wind Skeleton Pure features the Armin Strom's double-barrel Calibre ARM09-S, with an eight-day power reserve and small seconds sub-dial. It recently earned the prestigious International Red Dot Award for Excellence in Product Design.
