Collaboration with Dan Holdsworth and Sebastian Errazuriz - Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet celebrates collaboration with Dan Holdsworth and Sebastian Errazuriz at Art Basel in Basel 2016.

On its new lounge at Art Basel in Basel, designed by artist Sebastian Errazuriz, Audemars Piguet unveiled a new series of photographic works by Dan Holdsworth called Continuous Topography. Continuous Topography explores the unique geological formations found in Audemars Piguet’s home, the Vallée de Joux in the Jura Mountains.
Audemars Piguet celebrated this unveiling with a cocktail reception on Tuesday 14 June 2016, at the SCHEUBLEIN + BAK gallery in Zurich in the presence of the artist.

This year, Audemars Piguet also announced Chilean born, New York based artist Sebastian Errazuriz as the designer of their new lounge at the 2016 Art Basel. Errazuriz’s design was unveiled at Art Basel in Hong Kong 2016 and is based on the theme of ‘Water and Ice.’ Taking inspiration from the ice formations and the beautiful snowed winters in the Vallée de Joux, the lounge highlights the concept of an ‘Ice Cycle’ as a metaphor of time.

As part of the lounge experience for the Art Basel 2016 fairs, Audemars Piguet is exhibiting a selection of historic and contemporary watches exploring three categories of exceptional watchmaking crafts: detailed openworked watches, exquisite gem-set high jewellery timepieces and pioneering minute repeating wristwatches.
The Haute Joaillerie Diamond Fury and Diamond Punk watches are displayed within a one-of-a-kind showcase composed of mirror fragments, allowing the viewer to observe the iconic timepieces through a dazzling kaleidoscope effect.
