In September 2014, for its 25th anniversary, Sup de Luxe Paris - a member of the EDC Paris Business School - will launch an MBA in Global Luxury Brand Management.

The MBA in Global Luxury Brand Management is mainly targeted for foreign students (Bachelors, Masters or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of business experience. This one-year, full time MBA will differ from existing programs as it specifically addresses those interested in an overall approach to the Luxury Industry: General Management, but also commercial practices on site and on line, internal control, finance, logistics and supply chain. A special emphasis will be placed on the acquisition of specific knowledge in digital marketing and social media. Another focus will be on the design and aesthetics specific to the luxury field. This program will also be able to share the acquired experience from the work done by the “Cartier Chair” at Sup de Luxe, Paris.

The number of students per class is limited. In addition to high standards in academic excellence, the program will be enhanced through conferences and interactions with selected Top Managers in the luxury field, as well as company visits in France and abroad. Armed with these skills, graduates of the MBA in Global Luxury Management can count on being quickly eligible for positions in luxury subsidiaries, for example in their countries of origin.

This MBA program is managed by Michel Chevalier: a graduate of HEC Paris with an MBA from Harvard Business School and a PhD from Harvard University, and the author or co-author of several books on Luxury management. He is assisted by Alain Viot (ESSEC), former President of Cartier US. This MBA is intended to become ‘the’ reference in training for Luxury retailing and merchandising. It will benefit from the strong support of Sup de Luxe, Paris’ French MBA, founded 25 years ago by Alain Dominique Perrin and Cartier, and which regularly ranks among the top international ratings for training in the Luxury profession. Sup de Luxe has a powerful alumni network with over 1500 members working today in various parts of the world: Asia, the United States, South America and the Middle East.

Thibaut de La Rivière, Director of Sup de Luxe commented: "This Full-Time English MBA should meet the needs of companies specialized in the luxury industry, who increasingly require international executives capable of understanding a brand as a whole, who are able to manage, but also accompany creative teams, while considering luxury not as a series of “products”, but as exceptional objects and services.”

Each year, the luxury industry is responsible for 10% growth of its staff throughout the world and this sector has been growing by 10%, mainly in Asia and the Middle East.
