During the presentation of the 2017 Michelin Guide, watchmaker Eberhard & Co., established in 1887 and celebrating its 130th anniversary next year, presented the special “Qualità nel Tempo Michelin Italia 2017” award and for the first time presented the Guide with its commemorative anniversary logo. Unveiled for the first time in Parma, in the heart of the “food valley” of Emilia, this 62nd edition awarded a total of 343 Italian restaurants.
The “Qualità nel Tempo Michelin Italia 2017” award presented a restaurant with two Michelin stars and the two brothers who are its soul. They were awarded a special prize in recognition of their career. Each of them received a Scafograf 300, the winning watch of the Sports Watch Prize at the last Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie in Geneva. The two timepieces were awarded to Valentino and Natale Marcattilii of the San Domenico di Imola restaurant, two brothers who, just like the mechanism of a clock, move in perfect synchronisation every day, complementing each other's skills, one in the kitchen and the other in the front of house, to offer an extraordinary experience of impeccable taste.
