At the dawn of the third millennium, Brice Lechevalier and Pierre Jacques, two longstanding friends, decided that they wanted to work on a joint business project. A few brainstorming sessions later, the first issue of GMT was officially launched at Baselworld 2000. As an avant-garde magazine of reference GMT became the first luxury magazine to be offered free of charge. Appealing to the trade and watch lovers alike, over the years and thanks to numerous innovative initiatives GMT became one of the leading Swiss and international watch magazines.
Last Thursday, on 15/10/15, over 250 guests joined Brice Lechevalier and his team to celebrate the 15th anniversary in this great story. GMT invited guests from the watch industry, as well as friends and partners, to the Geneva University of Art and Design, which has recently opened a watchmaking chair, in order to celebrate the occasion. The evening was also an opportunity for the Geneva DS Store, the main sponsor of the event, to exhibit two of their models, the DS4 and the new DS5.
