The Swiss watchmaking company Longines boasts a long-lasting tradition of supporting charitable causes. The core values of the brand have always led Longines to serve philanthropic purposes and this remains today one of its priorities.
Longines therefore actively supports the Children for Tomorrow foundation, a non-profit charity organization run by its Ambassador of Elegance Stefanie Graf. The aim of this foundation is to provide assistance to children and families that have suffered the trauma of war, persecution and other forms of organized violence.
To bring awareness to the sensitive matter of refugees and psychological well-being, Children for Tomorrow, in partnership with Longines, hosted a media event at its headquarters at the University clinic of Hamburg Eppendorf. The international invited media had the opportunity to learn more about the foundation’s work and get a deeper insight into the programs that are used to treat the psychological damage directly from Stefanie Graf, co-founder and Chairwoman of the organization, and from a qualified team of specialists in the field of trauma-therapy.
On this occasion and to further support its Ambassador’s charity work, and especially the Art Therapy which offers refugee children and youth the opportunity to develop their nonverbal skills by using the therapeutic effect of artistic medium, the Swiss watch brand made a donation of 100’000 Euros to the Children for Tomorrow foundation.
