Newsletter From hola to hello

Like the winners of the GPHG, WorldTempus heads to London this week for Salon QP. We also turn our attention towards the gift-buying season and welcome Panerai as our latest new partner brand.

The Swatch Group celebrated a successful return to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève last week, with Breguet awarded both the coveted Aiguille d’Or trophy and the Public Prize, Blancpain taking the honours in the Ladies’ Watch category and Omega picking up the Revival prize for its Speedmaster “Dark Side of the Moon”. Confirmation that both classic and proven designs were popular with the jury this year.

WorldTempus se rend à Londres cette semaine pour une nouvelle couverture d’une grande exposition régionale.

The start of November signals a shift in focus on WorldTempus from the Grand Prix to the Christmas season, as we launch a series of articles dedicated to seasonal gift giving, starting this week with a guide for the undecided or indecisive. Whether it’s the personal suggestions of the CEOs, those of retailers around the world or ideas from our network of international correspondents, WorldTempus will cover all the bases to help you find the perfect watch as a gift.

Like the build-up for Christmas, that for the SIHH also starts early, with brands already presenting their 2015 collections to the media. We are delighted to welcome one of the SIHH exhibitors as a new partner brand on WorldTempus. The new Panerai section, where you can already see the latest watches presented by the brand at Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong is a new source of reference for the brand’s ardent Paneristi.

All the winning watches in the twelve categories of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix will be on public display for the first time at Salon QP, which will take place at the Saatchi Gallery in London this coming weekend. As part of our commitment to cover the major regional watchmaking exhibitions around the world, WorldTempus will be in London to see this exhibition and bring you the latest news from the lively British watch market.
