European Artistic Crafts Days - Vacheron Constantin
In Geneva, Vacheron Constantin will open the doors of its historic site, quai de l'Ile, to the public for the first time.

For the fifth consecutive year, Vacheron Constantin is confirming its attachment to Artist Crafts by renewing its support of the European Artistic Crafts Days (JEMA) that will take place from March 27th to 29th 2015 in a dozen different countries, including Switzerland, thus enabling the public to become acquainted with these skills and to spark future career interests.

In Switzerland, some 60 trades will be represented across three cantons: Geneva, Vaud and Jura.

These different visits through the three cantons will enable the public to encounter artist crafts – many of them little or forgotten – and thereby guarantee a wealth of enriching, unprecedented interactions.

In Geneva, Vacheron Constantin will be holding the first-ever public open day at the place where its history was made: the Maison Vacheron Constantin at the l'Ile de la Cité in Geneva. On this occasion, the visitors will be offered an opportunity to become acquainted with a master gemsetter, a master engraver and a master watchmaker who will demonstrate their art and skill.

In Europe, Vacheron Constantin is supporting the “Mutations” exhibition to be held at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. This is a perspective consisting of nine works inspired by heritage pieces of the museum and produced by collectives of artists and craftsmen. In Milan, in partnership with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Vacheron Constantin is presenting the “Intrecci” exhibition at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, revisiting the art of traditional weaving.
