Parallel to a jazz concert, an estimated 150 VIP guests could discover the wonders of the “Reine de Naples” collection, including high jewellery pieces and complicated watches.

Among others, the “Sonnerie au Passage 8978”, the first Grande Complication design to the “Reine de Naples” collection, aroused the invitees' admiration. This timepiece marks the hours automatically every hour on the hour with two strikes, repeated three times, a charming and discreet way of signaling the passage of time.

The “Reine de Naples” collection was launched in 2002 in tribute to Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples, who commissioned the first wristwatch. In creating its “Reine de Naples” collection, Breguet drew from historical descriptions of the original piece available in Abraham-Louis Breguet's archives, today preciously kept at the Manufacture's museums.
