The brand leaves Baselworld - Corum
1 minute read
Corum has officially announced that it will not be at Baselworld in 2019.

This summar, Swatch Group caused an upset when it announced it would not be part of the next edition of Baselworld. A few weeks later, Geneva-based Raymond Weil followed suit. Now, after 62 years of exhibiting at the show, Corum is also turning its back on Baselworld.

"We have been working hard, and successfully, to bring Corum back to the same standing as its glory days, when you could find the brand on the first stand as you entered the Basel watch fair," said Jérôme Biard, CEO of Corum. "Today, our absolute priority is the retailer, the end consumer and the journalist as an influencer for our brand. We therefore need a change of concept and we will be investing the budget that we have allocated for this type of event in a different way".

The La Chaux-de-Fonds based company will henceforth focus on its customers and watch lovers. To do so, its strategy in 2019 and 2020 will be focused on organising more intimate and well-targeted events on three continents.
