1 minute read
The organisers of Dubai’s first-ever event dedicated solely to the world of watches and watchmaking announce a new forum on the Art of Horology.

A curated programme at the first-ever event to be held in Dubai dedicated solely to the watch industry will present the diversity of watchmaking. WorldTempus contributors Nazanin Lankarani and Aurel Bacs are among the speakers.

The Dubai Watch Week, organized by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the region’s biggest luxury watch retailer (over 60 brands and 65 locations across the UAE), in association with the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) will be the first exhibition of its kind in the Emirate.

As well as exhibiting the preselected watches for this year’s GPHG 2015, the event will also play host to a forum entitled the Art of Horology, which will be held at the Empty Quarter Gallery. A number of renowned speakers from the world of watchmaking will attend the forum to engage and educate both the general public and enthusiasts alike.

Among them will be WorldTempus contributors Aurel Bacs, president of the GPHG 2015 jury, and luxury specialist Nazanin Lankarani, as well as Marc-André Deschoux, founder of TheWatchesTV, which is a media partner of WorldTempus. The forum will cover topics as varied as innovation, creativity and creation.
