Dubai Watch Week Keynote speakers at Horology Forum 2016 revealed

The second edition of the region’s most anticipated watch event unveils new speakers and topics at the Horology Forum.

Under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the region’s only horology event dedicated to education and cultural learning unveils a major programme for this year’s edition taking place from the 15-19 November 2016.

This second edition will see some of the watch world’s most illustrious names participating and sharing their insights on the industry’s most debated and trending topics. The open panel discussions will be moderated by editors and watch experts in order to generate interesting discussions.

This year, the Horology Forum will see the debut of the likes of François-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, Alain Zimmerman, CEO of Baume & Mercier, David Sadigh, Founder and CEO of Digital Luxury Group and Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass to inject fresh ideas and opinions across the 16 new forum topics. In addition, the forum will be welcoming back a number of the industry’s most tenured watch icons and independent watch personalities including: Jean-Marc Wiedderecht, Owner and CEO of Agenhor, Maximilian Busser, Founder of MB&F, Pascal Raffy, Owner of Bovet and Philippe Dufour, renowned independent watchmaker.

“Last year, our Horology Forum saw over 30 global watch experts speak across 16 different panels and we are delighted to welcome a number of returning speakers to Dubai for this year’s edition. In addition, we are honoured to add more than a dozen of the watch industry’s leading minds to complement and share fresh insight during the second edition of Dubai Watch Week. We are also pleased to expand our forum topics to include a range of subjects from historical timekeeping to more controversial, hotly debated topics of recent years such as ‘Smart Watches’ ‘Digital Curators’ and ‘The Power of Influence,” said Melika Yazdjerdi, Director of Dubai Watch Week.
