Geneva Watch Days - The countdown is on, are you ready?

Geneva Watch Days The countdown is on, are you ready?

The only Swiss watchmaking event of the year, Geneva Watch Days will present the new products of 15 watch brands from August 26th to 29th.

After the two largest watch fairs in the world cancelled their physical events (with Watches & Wonders moving all their planned activities onto their new digital platform), 2020 heralded a different era for the watchmaking microcosm. As a consequence, a number of watch companies, both established heritage brands and young independents, came together to create a new watch exhibition: Geneva Watch Days.

Over the course of a weekend, Jean-Christophe Babin (Bulgari), Patrick Pruniaux (Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin), Georges Kern (Breitling), Edouard Meylan, (H. Moser & Cie.), Maximilian Büsser (MB&F), Félix Baumgartner (Urwerk) and Pierre Jacques (De Bethune) joined forces in this unprecedented project.

The participating brands, Bulgari, De Bethune, H. Moser & Cie., Urwerk, Breitling, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, Bovet, Czapek, Louis Moinet, Maurice Lacroix, Reuge, Ferdinand Berthoud and Artya will be present in individual showrooms in the most sumptuous hotels of Geneva. They will present their new products to around 300 retailers and journalists (a number necessarily limited by the guidelines recommended by health authorities).

"The decentralized format of this unique gathering of watch brands will allow us to be safe," said Jean-Christophe Babin. "In addition, we have implemented strict hygiene rules for all participants and visitors. No risks will be taken. Bringing together the entire Swiss watch industry in one place, Geneva, is a major and unique opportunity to rekindle the flame of the watchmaking sector which has been slowed down in recent weeks".

The WorldTempus team will be covering Geneva Watch Days in full, led by our editor in chief Suzanne Wong, so don't forget to follow all our real-time updates on Facebook and Instagram, so as not to miss anything of this exceptional multi-brand event!
