In continuation of its mission to promote the 12th Art (the art of watchmaking) around the world, the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva watchmaking grand prix or GPHG for short) has announced a partnership with Dubai-based retailer to organise the first ever Dubai Watch Week.
The GPHG is an annual showcase that brings together the many brands operating in the watch industry both in Switzerland and abroad and rewards the most creative and most innovative timepieces of the year across a broad range of categories.
In its 15th year, the GPHG 2015 will organise its customary travelling exhibition of the 72 pieces that will be preselected by a jury composed of 25 experts hand-picked from among the leading industry experts and celebrity watch fans. Before the exhibition in Geneva prior to the awards ceremony on 29th October 2015 in Geneva, the watches will be on show in Hong Kong, Seoul and Dubai, where they will be shown during the first-ever Dubai Watch Week, which has been organised with the support of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. The Dubai Watch Week will be held from 18th to 22nd October.
