The Tambour Monogram Tourbillon, (Ladies' Complication watches category) has successfully gone through the pre-selections of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, as well as the Montre à secret Les Ardentes, (Jewellery watch category). Louis Vuitton has been less lucky with the other two models he had submitted to the GPHG competition: the Tambour eVolution Chronograph GMT (Men's Complication category) and the Tambour Twin Chrono ( Innovation category) have not been retained by the jury.

Tambour Monogram Tourbillon
Following in the footsteps of the Tambour - created ten years ago - Tambour Monogram establishes its uniqueness with a case which has been inverted and refined. It is available in seven references and in different sizes, the most exceptional piece being the Tourbillon.
In pink gold and diamonds,Tambour Monogram displays its technicality through an automatic winding Tourbillon calibre, signed La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. This second tourbillon in the history of Louis Vuitton beats at the rate of 28,800 vibrations/hour and boasts a 60-hour power reserve. Its point of difference is displayed in its automatic winding, unusual for a tourbillon. Visible through a sapphire back, the LV80 calibre features a Côtes de Genève decoration, which echoes the sun pattern in keeping with the engraving on the dial, while the Lozine is engraved on the oscillating weight.
The engraved white mother-of-pearl dial is adorned with a delicate Monogram pattern and two circles set with diamonds, one of which, around the carriage visible at 6 o’clock, impressively highlights the one-minute rotation of the tourbillon around the bridge in the shape of the Monogram Flower.
Montre à secret Les Ardentes
Les Ardentes is a collection in white gold set with diamonds inspired by Louis Vuitton's Monogram flowers, expressed through the diamonds set and the two Flower Cut and Star Cut diamonds. Hand-cut, the diamonds follow either the sinuous contours of the rounded flower or the sharper lines of the pointed one.
From this inspiration was born a collection of exceptional technical setting including multiple pieces.
It is the secret watch, with a mother of pearl dial, on a satin bracelet (the watch is also available on a bracelet set with diamonds), that is competing in the Jewellery category of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.
The watch is in white gold and diamonds (7.3 cts). Both a complicated design and a technical challenge, the diamonds flowers, with their rounded and pointed petals, reveal unprecedented brilliance. Whilst a standard brilliant cut stone has 58 facets, the Louis Vuitton Monogram flowers have between 65 and 77, increasing their light and sparkle.
The Montre à secret Les Ardentes houses a quartz movement.
