Tiffany celebrates a Brilliant Legacy with an exhibition of archival jewelry in Zurich and Geneva.

Tiffany & Co. presents “Brilliant Legacy,” a jewelry exhibition celebrating the recent re-opening of the Zurich store, on view at Bahnhofstrasse 14, from 5th October until 30th October and in Geneva at Rue du Rhône 21, from 7th until 21st November 2016

.Drawn entirely from the Tiffany Archives, the jewelry pays tribute to the source of the designs and materials that built Tiffany’s legacy as a world-renowned jeweler.

In 1956, Tiffany hired Jean Schlumberger (1902–1987), a French-born jewelry designer whose fascination with nature knew no bounds. From his private studio in the Tiffany & Co flagship store on Fifth Avenue, Schlumberger began each design with a drawing to discover the purity and grace of natural forms that caught his eye. This drawing was then produced and the final design created in precious metals and gemstones.

The exhibition features the glamour of New York with two stunning brooches designed by Jean Schlumberger. Created specifically for legendary fashion editor Diana Vreeland, a brooch in the form of a military trophy, the oval shield is encrusted with faceted oval amethysts and cabochon rubies.

Owned by New York socialite and fashion icon Lady ‘Slim’ Keith, the “Cross” brooch has single cut diamond sprays, four oval cabochon amethysts, a center cluster of four cabochon rubies, and a row old European-cut diamonds at the end of each cross branch.
