TimeCrafters is one of a growing number of regional exhibitions around the world that bring the big names in luxury watchmaking, their products and their expertise closer to collectors and watch fans.
Taking place at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan from 16-18 May, TimeCrafters brings together brands such as A. Lange & Söhne, Chopard, Christophe Claret, DeBethune, Hublot, HYT, Richard Mille, TAG Heuer, Urwerk and Zenith, which represent the entire gamut of watchmaking, from traditional craftsmanship to cutting-edge technology.
Worldtempus will be present as a media partner of the event to serve both its partner brands and its significant community of readers in the US. As the Swiss Watch Authority of reference online, we will also be attending numerous other regional exhibitions in the service of our readers and partners over the course of the year.
Visitors to TimeCrafters will have a rare chance to get “hands-on” with the latest creations from the exhibiting brands and see demonstrations of some of the traditional techniques used in the production of fine mechanical timepieces. There will also be private breakfast viewings for VIP shoppers and buyers.
Furthermore, as part of a charity reception in aid of educational charity Teach for All to be held on Friday 16 May, Christie’s will hold a live auction. Tickets for the reception, priced at $150 per person, can be ordered here until 9 May.
Various talks and panel discussions will be held over the three-day event covering topics as varied as beauty and fashion trends for ladies, how to build a collection, a history of time measurement and even Switzerland as a tourist destination.
Since a fine whisky is a perfect companion for a fine watch, visitors to TimeCrafters on the Saturday will be able to wind down with a whisky tasting courtesy of Suntory, the masters of Japanese whisky since 1923.
