Van Cleef & Arpels “The Art & Science of Gems” exhibition is taking place at The ArtScience Museum in Singapore until August 14.
“The Art and Science of Gems” is a unique exhibition which explores both the artistic skills required for the creation of exquisite jewelry, and the scientific processes involved in the formation of minerals and gemstones.
The Minaudière case featured in this video is one of the precious object showcased at The ArtScience Museum in Singapore. Dating from 1938 this wild rose Minaudière case is decorated with a clasp that can be worn as a clip. It opens to reveal a powder compact, two ruby boxes with Mystery Set, a lipstick with a watch in its top, a dance card, a lighter and a comb.
