On November 30th, Chopard was proud to support the Porsche team for the final round of the 2014 World Endurance Championship season in Sao Paolo, Brazil. To mark the end of the season, Porsche 919 Hybrid team led by Romain Dumas, won this incredible final as a proof of their powerful return to FIA WEC. In the LMGTE Pro class race, the two Porsche 911 RSR ended the race in second and sixth positions.
Witnessed by the 50,000 spectators of the challenging racetrack of Autodromo José Carlos Pace, the Porsche 919 Hybrid teams have achieved its biggest success since the debut of the season.
Sao Paulo was also a successful conclusion for the Porsche Team Manthey. With a strong performance during the race, the French Porsche drivers Frédéric Makowiecki and Patrick Pilet scored second in the fiercely competitive GTE-Pro class in their Porsche 911 RSR. The pair notched up another podium result to add to the two double victories at Silverstone and Shanghai.
