The Cuervo y Sobrinos Cup, the summer classic cars event in the heart of the Alps through Italy, Switzerland and Austria, returns from 3 to 6 July, 2014.

A passion for beauty, great attention to the details and a perfect mixture of sport and leisurely lifestyle, these are the values which characterise the organisation of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Cup, an event born from the partnership among Scuderia Tricolore, Cuervo y Sobrinos SA and Canossa Events.

An event strongly wanted by Cuervo y Sobrinos, main sponsor of the race, which decided to once again gift every driver with a prestigious automatic watch created specially for this occasion, personalised with the racing number of the receiver, to promote the “Racing Collection” of the Historiador series.

Cuervo y Sobrinos Cup

An unmissable weekend for classic car buffs, but also for the enthusiasts of luxury and refinement as lifestyles, as is fond of saying Marzio Villa, classic cars aficionado, Sponsor of the event and President of Cuervo y Sobrinos SA, the prestigious brand of fine watches: “We are a brand famous for its Swiss handcraftsmanship and Latin American name, which evokes a history of exclusivity and cultural luxury perfectly in tune with the tradition and beauty of the vintage cars. However, we also want to introduce new ideas: this is why we created once again another watch from the Historiador series, which has been presented during Baselworld 2014, to be gifted to every driver of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Cup.

I can only tell you that this model has a new dial, which sports the traditional Cuervo y Sobrinos wing nut emblem and a unique view of the clockwork and of the movement through the spokes of a wheel.”

The second edition of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Cup features some important changes: the race will start from Milan, heart of the “made in Italy” fashion and lifestyle, a city which represents a country reaching towards the future while still keeping strong ties with its history and passions, an incomparable stage for launching unmissable events.

Each day will feature a different setting: on Thursday Milan, where the administrative checks and the technical scrutineerings will take place in a special and evocative location: the car museum of Rozzano, founded in 1956, which retraces the history of the car from its origins to this day through the main models of the most famous and revered car makers. The Gala Soirée will be held at the Museo Diocesano, located in the setting of the cloisters of St. Eustorgious, integral part of one of the most ancient monumental complexes of Milan and the starting point from the city centre.

During the next days the race will revolve around Bormio, drawing a wonderful route through the most charming sceneries of three nations.

On Friday the crews will cross the beautiful landscapes of the lakes, Switzerland and Sankt Moritz. Saturday will be dedicated to the Engadine, Austria and the Stelvio, and will end with a fascinating dinner at 3000 metres of height realized in collaboration with Bormio Ski, which will open the summer season on the very same day.

On Sunday the protagonists will instead be the bends of the Valtellina, the Cancano Lakes, the Stelvio National Park, Isolaccia and the Val di Dentro, where the crews will be heartily welcomed and where the Awards Ceremony will be held.

An international classic regularity rally, added by CSAI to the list of “Grand Events” of the Italian calendar, which will take place along a 600 km long route and will be open to a maximum of 60 classic cars built until 1969.
