For many years now, Eberhard & Co. has been developing a deep bond with the fascinating world of speed and challenge with a retro flair. Beginning in 1991, the Maison inextricably linked itself to the biggest legend of all time in motor sport, Tazio Nuvolari, forming what has become an enduring passion with both a watch collection dedicated to him, and its role as Stopwatch and Official Partner of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the famous race named in his honour.
After its success of his first entry in the GP Nuvolari last year, Brand Ambassador Miki Biasion will race once again, wearing the colours and watches of the Maison, offering all his famed experience. Double World Rally Champion between 1988 and 1989, the Italian rally driver boasted a vast number of World and European awards.
The 2017 Gran Premio Nuvolari race features a new route (over 1000 km) which ventures into some of the most traditional and charming corners of Italy, starting in Mantua, crossing the Po plain and the Apennines to reach the Adriatic Coast. Altogether 315 historic cars, all produced between 1919 and 1972, with crews from all over the world, including Europe, Asia, America and even Australia were among the starters yesterday. Competitors will cross the finish line on Sunday.
