Hublot Countdown clock unveiled
1,000 days before the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, the official countdown clock is unveiled.
On 18th September 2015, in Moscow, Hublot unveiled the official countdown clock for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ (which will begin on 14th June 2018).
The clock that has been installed on Manezhnaya Square, at only a stone’s throw away from Moscow’s famous Red Square. It is over 4 metres high and nearly 5 metres wide and features a giant Hublot clock as part of the overall structure. It has been designed in keeping with the Official Look of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, using red as the dominant colour to reflect the architectural features of the Kremlin.
Hublot is the Official Timekeeper and the Official Watch of the FIFA World Cup TM and, as for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, will also be visible on the referee boards during all the competition’s matches.
From the outset, Hublot has embodied design and innovation that differ markedly from the established watchmaking order. With the impetus provided by Jean-Claude Biver, by 2004 these values had already become the basis of a new DNA, leading the brand to develop particularly audacious timepieces – most of them with a highly-developed sporting aspect.Find out more
