Hublot and Dwyane Wade team up for a basketball clinic and intimate dinner to mark a three-year continuation of the HEAT guard’s ambassadorship

In the days leading up to Miami’s most anticipated week, and to celebrate a three-year continuation of Dwyane Wade’s ambassadorship, Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe and the three time NBA Champion, hosted a unique basketball clinic for select VIPs on the AmericanAirlines Arena’s hardwood.

This was the first event of its kind, introduced by HEAT’s president and head coach, Pat Riley, one that neither the participants nor the Miami Heat players and coaches had ever experienced. Guests brought their best a-game and enthusiasm to the sport as they learned to shoot hoops, dribble and guard from the best – Ray Allen, Alonzo Mourning and Shane Battier.

That evening, at a private dinner at Miami hotspot, Prime Hotel, guests reflected on the days’ activities as they viewed a reel highlighting Wade’s past three years with Hublot.

Guadalupe stated, “I am so proud to be here with Dwyane tonight - from the first moment we met, we knew he would be part of the Hublot family. His commitment to excellence, which he strives for on and off the court, and his passion for the sport, parallels Hublot’s values.”

Hublot became the exclusive watch partner of the Miami HEAT in January of 2011, marking the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s first team sponsorship in the United States. In February 2010, Hublot announced that HEAT guard, Dwyane Wade would join the ‘Hublot family’.

The HEAT partnership designates Hublot as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Miami HEAT. In March of 2012 Hublot unveiled the first King Power Miami HEAT chronograph, becoming the first Swiss luxury brand to launch an basketball timepiece. Later that year, Hublot presented the entire team with commemorative Big Bang timepieces to celebrate the first victory in the “Big 3” era. In honor of the team’s 25 years in the Magic City in 2013, Hublot launched a limited edition 25th Anniversary collection, a set of his and her timepieces in traditional team colors.
