Lebeau-Courally Partner of the Zoute Grand Prix®
For the third year, Lebeau-Courally is sponsoring the Zoute Grand Prix®, and has unveiled two limited series in honour of the prestigious car event.
From 6 to 9 October Knokke-Le Zoute, Belgium’s most chic seaside resort, will welcome the 7th Zoute Grand Prix®, a prestigious event for enthusiasts of classic cars, vintage racing cars and luxury automobiles. Several events are due to take place over the four days of festivities. The Zoute Rally® is an untimed regularity rally featuring 170 classic cars first registered between 1920 and 1965. The Zoute Concours d’Elégance® also takes place during the event: more than 50 classic cars go up before an international jury, which awards prizes for the finest specimens. And for those interested in more than just window shopping, the Zoute Sale® takes place on 7 October. Finally, around a hundred exclusive and modern GT cars will take to the roads of Flanders for the Zoute GT Tour®.
For the third time running, Lebeau-Courally, a historic manufacturer of collectors’ hunting rifles and haute horlogerie timepieces, will be the Official Timekeeper of the Zoute Rally®. The Belgian brand is also the main sponsor of the Concours d’Elégance and the Zoute Sale®. In honour of the partnership Lebeau-Courally is unveiling two very limited edition watches.
For the ladies, there is the Dauphin, a sophisticated watch with a timeless design. The special Zoute model features a minimalist white dial with the Zoute Grand Prix emblem at 6 o’clock, enclosed in a 38 mm polished steel case. In a nod to the rally, the chapter ring is picked out in red from 0 to 20 minutes, a reminder of the short times recorded for the race. The white topstitching of the red leather strap also emphasises the watch’s sporting pedigree. For the first time since the beginning of the partnership between the Belgian watchmaker and the Zoute Grand Prix®, a jewellery version of the Dauphin Zoute will also be available.
For men, Lebeau-Courally presents the Baron Zoute 43 mm, a distinctive chronograph in black DLC-treated steel. The dial also features the Zoute Grand Prix coat of arms, this time at 9 o’clock, and a graduated chapter ring with a section in red. The sporty look of the watch is further enhanced by red accents on the chronograph pusher at 2 o’clock and the hands. It comes with a black alligator strap hand-finished with red topstitching.
These two timepieces, limited to 24 pieces each, are driven by a Swiss made automatic calibre beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement, which is visible through the sapphire case back, is assembled in accordance with the canons of traditional Swiss watchmaking, ensuring that each of the watches offers perfect precision.
Sharing terms such as calibre, lever and barrel, arms manufacturing and watchmaking have certain parallels. Belgian brand Lebeau-Courally has a distinguished history in the latter and is the only brand to bring the two worlds together.Find out more >
