The watch brand has lent its name to the Longines Dubai Sheema Classic, one of the biggest turf races in the world, which was won by Jack Hobbs ridden by William Buick. The winning owner, trainer and jockey received Longines watches from the hands of Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President and Head of International Marketing of Longines to mark their victory.
The winning team of Arrogate, the winner of the Dubai World Cup and 2016 Longines World’s Best Racehorse, was also honoured with Longines watches.
In line with its slogan “Elegance is an Attitude”, Longines honoured Diana Ganeva as the Longines Most Elegant Lady of the racetrack. She was awarded Longines watch.
The event offered the perfect opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, a new model of The Longines Equestrian Collection, a line inspired by Longines’ passion for equestrian sports. This timepiece repeats the lines of the rectangular buckle found on the show bridle of the only Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes.
