The Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, which included the tenth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, gathered the world’s best riders and horses in the very heart of the French capital, on the Champ de Mars. Longines was, for the first time, the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of Friday’s five-star show jumping competition, the Longines Eiffel Challenge for the benefit of the “Mission Bern”. Ben Maher riding Explosion W claimed a stunning victory, while Nicolas Delmotte on Urano de Cartigny and Harrie Smolders on Zinius secured the second and third place respectively. Longines Ambassador of Elegance Aishwarya Rai Bachchan presented the winner Ben Maher with a Longines timepiece.
As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, the winged hourglass brand timed the victory of Sameh El Dahan riding Suma’s Zorro.
In the same spirit as Longines’ motto “Elegance is an Attitude”, the elegance of the heart was the key message on Saturday. During the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, Longines indeed lent its support to JustWorld International – a charity organization which collects funds to help impoverished children – through the “Longines Clear The Jump” program, in which 200 meals are offered each time the Longines jumps were cleared. In total, today, Longines helped to offer 5000 meals to the beneficiaries of JustWorld International’s actions.
Last but not least, Longines highlighted a model from The Longines Master Collection Blue Edition as the Official Watch of the event. This timepiece displays a sunray blue dial with diamonds indexes, matching its blue alligator strap. This fashionable chromatic variation is perfectly in line with the classic and understated spirit of this line.
