Alongside the Longines Masters of Paris, Longines presented a new watch of The Longines Equestrian Collection and launched its new TV spot stared by Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jane Richard Philips. At this occasion, the Swiss watch brand invited some of the world’s best riders to its new Parisian Boutique located at the Rue Faubourg St-Honoré. Longines Ambassador of Elegance and winner of the Longines Speed Challenge in Los Angeles in 2014 Jane Richard Philips, the Rio Olympic gold medalists, Roger-Yves Bost, Pénélope Leprevost and Philippe Rozier, Harrie Smolders, Jérôme Guéry, Camille Condé Ferreira and the young American riders Audrey Coulter and Lucy Davis were present for the presentation of this watch. The French riders then went to the Palais de l’Elysée to be decorated with the “Légion d’honneur” to celebrate their outstanding performance in Rio this summer.
The Longines Equestrian Collection is a tribute to the deep bonds Longines has forged with the horse universe and take its inspiration from symbolic elements of this environment. The new model presented in Paris repeats the lines of the rectangular buckle found on the show bridle of the only Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes. In addition, this horse is native to the historical Swiss Jura area, a region that is dear to the winged hourglass brand since it is also the region where Longines was founded and earned its place within the inner circle of great watchmakers.
This timepiece is also the Official Watch of the Longines Masters of Paris, which takes place from 1st to 4th December. Longines is the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper of this high level show jumping event. The Swiss watch brand will also lend its name to two highlight competitions during the weekend, the Longines Speed Challenge on Friday evening and the Longines Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.
