On Saturday, all eyes were on the contestants of the Longines Speed Challenge, known as the world’s fastest trial. The challenge for the competitors of this event is to achieve the fastest time, knowing that a fault only leads to a two-second penalty, instead of the usual four. This rule pushes the riders to give their best and to run the course as fast as they can, creating a high-level of suspense.

Over the weekend, Longines has highlighted the Official Watch of the event, a lady model from the Record collection, featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indexes. Each piece in this line houses a movement including a single-crystal silicon balance spring with unique properties and is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
