The Seiko ambassador paints the lines on tennis courts every bit as accurately as the time displayed by his watch: the Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time.

Serbian tennis pro Novak Djokovic has been a spokesperson for the Seiko watch brand since January 2014. Sharing the same values of perfection and a determination to excel, Seiko and Novak Djokovic are currently at the top of their respective games.

To mark this partnership, Djokovic regularly wears not just one Seiko watch, but four. One watch for his on-court training sessions, another for evening events, a third for travelling, and of course a fourth for actual matches.

The model that accompanies the world no. 1 during match play is the Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time: a model specifically designed for Djokovic and extremely useful for someone who is always on the move around the globe. A press on the button automatically adjusts the hands to local time, with a degree of precision equivalent to +/- one second every 100,000 years!

Wherever the wearer of this watch may find himself, this instrument will make smart use of solar energy to ensure autonomous operation. In normal weather conditions and in the open air, the Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time automatically receives the time signal once a day. It also connects to at least one satellite and automatically adjusts to the exact time with atomic precision.

Alongside its solar-powered automatic adjustment, the watch not only features an indication of local time, but also of home time in a subdial complete with a day/night indication. In addition, the timepiece provides a retrograde display of the day of the week at 2 o’clock, as well as showing the date at 4 o’clock. The latter will require adjustment… but not until February 28th 2100.
