In Geneva, Bar Rafaeli, Bianca Bandolini d’Adda as well as numerous VIP guests participated in a cocktail party that celebrated Piaget’s High Jewellery Tribute To The Rose.

On 20th January 2014, during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, Piaget hosted a magical event to celebrate the launch of its Piaget Rose Passion High Jewellery Collection, inspired by the captivating beauty of roses. The enchanting Château de Penthes and its idyllic surroundings played host to a cocktail party where the creations were presented for the first time to an international guest list.

Supermodel and friend of the brand, Bar Rafaeli, and Italian fashion muse, Bianca Bandolini d’Adda, dazzled in pieces from the Piaget Rose Passion High Jewellery Collection. During the evening, Grammy-nominated American jazz singer and Piaget ambassador, Melody Gardot, also wearing jewelleries from the collection, delighted guests with an intimate performance.

Guests were transported for the evening to an unforgettable world of elegance and sophistication, discovering an exceptional collection of 100 jewellery watches and High Jewellery pieces, each capturing Yves Piaget’s love of roses. A passion Piaget shared with Joséphine de Beauharnais, Empress of France and wife of Napoléon Bonaparte, who in the early 19th century, dedicated many years to the cultivation of one of the largest collection of roses in the gardens of her Château de Malmaison.

For the premiere of the collection, the pieces were displayed in a romantic setting with large lithographs of the Château de Malmaison, accentuated with vibrant pink Yves Piaget roses to convey all the femininity, grace and modernity of the new Piaget designs.  Entirely manufactured in Piaget’s jewellery workshops, the glamorous Piaget Rose Passion creations with their luminous choice of precious stones are designed to be worn in many different ways, whether a comb, a tiara or the brand’s cherished cuff-watches and secret watches.

As a tribute to the entrancing and ravishing rose that has punctuated its history, Piaget has taken on a project to renovate the iconic rose garden at the Château de Malmaison, where in the early 19th century Joséphine de Beauharnais imported and cultivated over 250 varieties of old roses. While this botanical treasure was damaged over the years and little remains of the original garden, with Piaget’s support the museum at Malmaison is planting 750 old roses to revive the legacy of an extraordinary woman.
