As the Official Timekeeper for the Premier League and Manchester United, TAG Heuer attended the Reds' final Premier League game of the 2017/18 season against Watford on Sunday May 13. The brand was present at Old Trafford to support the #allredallequal campaign, an initiative launched by the English football club to promote equality, inclusion and diversity at the heart of football clubs, in all areas, both on and off the pitch. Manchester United has also developed numerous programmes to help the club create an environment that is safe, welcoming and open to all Old Trafford supporters, regardless of their age, gender, religion and disability, etc.
As part of the #allredallequal campaign, the watchmaker presented the first connected watch made in honour of the football team: the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Manchester United Special Edition. Available with two special dials and a black leather strap with red top stitching, this watch is a symbol of its pledge to encourage equality and diversity within football.
Eleven pieces with a special black/white/red strap have also been developed for the occasion and worn by Manchester United players during the pre-match line-up; marking the first time a football team from the English Premier League has worn a watch during a line-up. The eleven pieces will be sold at events organised by TAG Heuer. Three of the pieces will be auctioned on Monday 28th May on TAG Heuer's website. All proceeds will then be donated to the Manchester United Foundation who supports the Club’s #allredallequal campaign.
The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Manchester United Special Edition adopts the symbolic red colour of the English club. Available with a black leather strap with red top stitching, the watch is presented in a special red presentation case and comes with an additional red rubber strap. In honour of the occasion, two dials have been developed, and are available to download to all other Tag Heuer Connected Modular models.
