The Arceau model elegantly expresses the original source of inspiration of the House of Hermès: the equestrian world. A single steel stirrup prolongs the case with its integrated asymmetrical lugs securing a strap fastened by a folding clasp. The evocative design of the sloping numerals lends a unique cadence to the beautiful hours depicted on the dial. Telling a long-established love story and conveying a wealth of expertise, Arceau makes its way through time with the understated boldness of a great classic.
Arceau Pocket moon phases
At the heart of this rose or white gold model beats a mechanical self-winding movement, calibre H1929, driving the astronomical precision of its “moon phases” complication that requires no correction for 122 years and 46 days. The date is displayed by a retrograde hand moving across a 225° arc of a circle graduated from 1 to 31 days.
The sapphire crystal case-back of this large 43.5 model enables one to admire the precision and the perfect manual execution of the 306 parts of its movement, including the bridge and oscillating weight adorned with a sprinkled H motif. Embodying the figurative and literal ties between the twin worlds of luxury leather craftsmanship and fine watchmaking, the generous Barenia strap of the Arceau Pocket instils the privileged sense of holding time in the palm of one's hand.
The Arceau Pocket is issued in two limited, numbered series of 24 each – one in rose gold and the other in white gold – in tribute to the historical address in Paris: 24, Rue du faubourg Saint-Honoré.
