Lapo Elkann has been elected to Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed Hall of Fame. He is the founder of Italia Independent, the ready-to-wear and luxury accessories brand, that has linked its name to Hublot and create a partnership. Four collections - including one for women - have been created from this partnership.
For 2018, the stylish Hublot Classic Fusion Italia Independent has been given a sporty twist with the addition of a chronograph movement to three different limited editions. In all three, cutting edge materials resulting from extensive research conducted by Hublot combine with the elegance of the fabrics Lapo Elkann has chosen from the archives of the legendary Italian tailor, Rubinacci. For this collaboration, he has selected precious rolls of fabric inspired by the 60s and 70s.
The first model sports a blue houndstooth pattern on the strap and dial. The colour is accentuated by a polished titanium case. This piece will be limited to 100.
The second, also blue, is enhanced by the elegance of a fabric featuring a fine pinstripe. The black case is formed of polished ceramic and, again, only 100 pieces will be produced.
More exclusive still with just 50 pieces the King Gold model has a strap and dial featuring the brown tones of a Prince of Wales check.
All three timepieces feature the same sapphire crystal on back of their 45 mm case, allowing an unimpeded view of their HUB1143 calibre mechanism, a self-winding chronograph movement with a 42-hour power reserve.
Each Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Italia Independent timepiece will be delivered in a presentation case that also contains an exclusive pair of Italia Independent sunglasses specially designed to match.
