A Touch of Havana in Basel - Cuervo y Sobrinos
Baselworld - A mixture of laid-back Latin culture, Swiss precision and the unbridled enjoyment of life, the new Cuervo booth is unlike any other booth in Basel.

Imagine a hectic, busy day at BaselWorld, a day like any other during the year’s most important watch and jewelry show. Rushing from one booth to another under the bright lights, fighting the crowds, with no place to sit down, take a load off your aching feet and rest.

Now, imagine an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the fair. A place where you can sit back, drink a Mojito and getting a true taste of the culture of Cuba in the middle of Basel.
Well, thanks to Cuervo y Sobrinos, this dream is now a reality with the brand’s new BaselWorld booth, located in Halle 2.0, Booth A33.

Highlighted by palm trees, which form the booth’s border, and Spanish-tiled roofs, Cuervo’s Basel stand is designed to make guests – customers, clients, retailers, and journalists – feel comfortable.
“Cuervo y Sobrinos holds a unique position, a tradition and identity which differentiate the brand created in Havana from any other brand of watchmaking,” says Marzio Villa, President, Cuervo y Sobrinos. “Because we sell cultured luxury in a relaxed atmosphere where the clients can appreciate the core values of our lifestyle, we needed a BaselWorld booth which reflected this idea. I want our visitors to feel at home in our booth.

The idea of this booth came up naturally, and we have not at all thought about how to sell a watch, but how to present our philosophy.”

In addition to drinks and relaxation, Cuervo y Sobrinos’ latest collection of watches will be on display, and the brand has built a dedicated photo studio into the booth, available for journalists to use any time.
“By creating a wall of plants and a hint of Cuban architecture, the booth creates intrigue from the outside, but once inside, visitors will be in a world of their own, far from the maddening crowd, where they can relax,” details Christopher Pask, the architect. “The booth reflects the marriage between the brand’s Cuban heritage, Swiss technology and the unique character and style of Cuervo y Sobrinos.”

A unique oasis of calm amidst a mass of cold, modern structures, Cuervo y Sobrinos is offering a warm and relaxing welcome to visitors from all over the world.
“For us, every moment takes on a unique and unrepeatable meaning, every experience becomes a form of comfort: life is to be lived moment by moment,” explains Mr. Villa. “This culture, born in the heat of the Tropics was, and is, the basis of Cuervo y Sobrinos philosophy, from 1882 up until this day.”

Come visit the new Cuervo y Sobrinos and get away from the daily grind of Basel.

You’ll be glad you did.
