Zino Davidoff SA was founded in 1980 and is a Swiss-based family business.
The spirit of Zino Davidoff lives on within the company as a source of inspiration for everything from product development to marketing and communication. Zino Davidoff SA started its journey in the Eighties by awarding licences to various companies for the use of the DAVIDOFF brand. Today the company, together with its partners, offers products in the categories of watches, perfumes (e.g. Davidoff Silver Shadow, Davidoff Adventure, Davidoff Cool Water), eyewear, leather goods, writing instruments, cognac and coffee. Zino Davidoff SA is not involved in any tobacco or smoking-accessory-related business.
Early in the year 2000, the DAVIDOFF brand was repositioned to meet the needs of a more active and modern target group. A new logo was designed to convey the contemporary lifestyle positioning and shortly thereafter Zino Davidoff Luxury Watches and Accessories was established to develop in house the luxury business, focusing on watches, writing instruments, leather goods and accessories.
In April 2008, at the BASELWORLD fair, DAVIDOFF launched the “Very Zino” line of Swiss-made watches, leather goods traditionally crafted in Italy, and meticulously finished writing instruments from Germany.
The success formula – to scour continents in search of the best components – has resulted in products of perfection. The production partners are chosen with utmost care to match the quality demands of the brand. And the diversity of cultures all over the world offers endless inspiration for the DAVIDOFF design team. The result: collections identified as understated elegance, combining modern and classic forms with premium materials and true craftsmanship. Each year since the 2008 launch, DAVIDOFF has added novelties to its collection aimed to broaden the product offer. With the novelties launched in 2010 DAVIDOFF completes its offer by driving the virile essence of the brand, yet remaining true to its value of elegance and its mission to bring pleasure into a thing of beauty.
