GMT Middle East The watch magazine goes to Dubai
Next month, the Great Magazine of Timepieces joins forces with Fadi Jamil to launch the GMT franchise in the Middle East.
A fixture in the watch publication landscape since 2000, GMT magazine is broadening its international reach with the launch of GMT Middle East in mid-November. The GMT franchise for the region (United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Lebanon) has been entrusted to publisher Fadi Jamil, based in Dubai. Fadi Jamil is well known to watch professionals in the Middle East, having been responsible for a number of luxury titles, including QP Magazine, over the last ten years. Prior to that, he oversaw business development in the region for Lancôme and L’Oréal.
Every quarter GMT Middle East will devote 25% of its editorial content to highlighting current topics of local interest, while giving its Middle Eastern readership access to exclusive articles produced by our Swiss editorial team. The first issue, covering the December 2016–January 2017 period, is scheduled for publication in time for Dubai Watch Week, and will also be distributed at the Jewellery Arabia fair in Bahrain.
