GPHG 2015 goes to the next level - Newsletter
1 minute read
After a week filled with important announcements from the SIHH and the GPHG, let’s now focus on the elegance of a few mechanical beauties.

The 72 watches pre-selected for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève were unveiled last Tuesday and this week we will continue the series of round tables that began last Friday, with an ongoing focus on women. Our three contributors Nazanin Lankarani, Anita Kathri and Laurie Khale present their favourite models in the Ladies’ High-Mech and Jewellery categories. Bulgari, Chaumet and Piaget are competing in each of the two categories: do their watches appeal to our writers? Don’t forget that you also have the possibility of voting via our prediction competition for your favourite watches in each of the 12 categories by clicking here. Go right ahead!

Elegance was also in the spotlight at the Chantilly Estate yesterday, where another kind of fine mechanical models also competed beneath the benevolent eye of Richard Mille, sponsor of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance event. Later in the week, Olivier Müller will be filing his report on this prestigious automobile competition. Still in the world of luxury and speed machines, but switching from cars to yachts, the latest models from the Challenge Sea-Liner by Cvstos feature a navy blue that prolongs the spirit of summer on the wrist. And we will wind up the week with a flyover of the IWC Pilot’s Watch collection and an interview with Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari.

At what is proving to be a particularly dynamic post-vacation period, the entire WorldTempus team is delighted to be welcoming aboard a new partner brand, Urban Jürgensen, one of the laureates in the GPHG 2014. And welcome back to our editor in chief who just returned from vacation!

Finally, our traditional monthly contest that kicked off on September 1st offers a chance to win one of 10 Swiss Kubik StartBox watch winding boxes; and since summer is not yet over, the daily competitions are also continuing through to September 21st. Make the most of this opportunity to explore fine watchmaking from a playful angle.
