Thanks to our well-connected contributors, we bring you news from at least three continents this week.

Our Singapore-based contributor Timmy Tan was perfectly placed to provide us with an in-depth article on Seiko. Timmy’s article, with its personal input from Seiko CEO Shinji Hattori and some rare Seiko models, is published today.

“Jean-Claude Biver is a genius of the industry who rightly merits a biography”

Heard of Best Buddies? If not, allow our new contributor Laurie Kahle to enlighten you. In her debut article on WorldTempus, Laurie reports from an event organized by Hublot in Boston in support of this worthwhile charitable organisation. You can read her article on the site later this week.

As the European link in this intercontinental horological chain, I travelled to London to see the extraordinary Patek Philippe exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery as the brand’s 175th anniversary celebrations came to an end. You can read my report later this week.

After a busy week, I will also be declaring the horological winner of the Roland Garros French Open later today and reviewing some of the latest innovations presented at the EPHJ-EPMT-SMT exhibition in Geneva last week.
