Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin has an intimate knowledge of Italy and its culture, which are inseparably linked with the brand. He was born with dual French and Italian nationality in Paris in 1959. A graduate of the HEC, he began his career in sales and marketing with the French subsidiary of Procter & Gamble before joining the Boston Consulting Group, where he was responsible for prestigious clients in Paris and Milan, many of them in the luxury goods and telecommunications sectors. In 1994 Jean-Christophe Babin became Managing Director of Henkel’s Italian subsidiary, and in 1998 he was made Senior Vice-President at the German headquarters in Düsseldorf. At the turn of the 21st century he changed direction. Jean-Christophe Babin joined luxury group LVMH and came to Switzerland to work with TAG Heuer, which was bought in 1999. He was appointed President and CEO at the end of 2000. Bulgari was bought in 2011, and Jean-Christophe Babin has been its CEO since 2013.
