This week it’s the CEOs of some of the biggest high-end watch brands that bring us the news in their own words.

After publishing 55 articles during the week of the SIHH we may be heading for another in-house record this week with four interviews with leading figures from the world of watchmaking.

Brice Lechevalier kicks the week off with his interview with Nicola Andreatta, CEO of Tiffany & Co. He reviews the past year and explains why, after several busy years, it’s time for the brand to consolidate its watch collections.

During the SIHH our correspondent David Chokron had the chance to talk with Girard-Perregaux’s CEO Antonio Calce. In his detailed interview tomorrow, Mr. Calce talks about the success of the Laureato collection and explains some of the major changes that he has introduced to speed up product development at the 225 year-old watch company.

As we already start to look ahead to Baselworld, I spoke to Ricard Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, about this busy World Cup year for the brand. Aside from a comprehensive overview of Hublot’s development and how the brand appeals to Chinese millennials, he also revealed that Hublot will be launching its first smart watch at Baselworld as a FIFA limited edition with exclusive features linked to the World Cup. Find out more on Thursday.

Brice will be back later this week with an interesting chat with a collector who is only interested in black watches. Find out why on Friday. We will, of course, continue to publish all the new watches we saw at the SIHH (at least 420 individual references at the last count!), including an in-depth look at the Van Cleef & Arpels “Le Jardin” collection by Michèle Brunner on Wednesday.
