Hublot Lang Lang new ambassador
The superstar Chinese pianist joins Hublot and its family of prestigious ambassadors.
Ultra-talented and an international phenomenon, 32-years old Lang Lang is acclaimed by audiences throughout the world and has performed with the best orchestras in Europe and US.
In 2006, he played at the opening ceremony of the Football World Cup and in 2008 at the Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2009, he first appeared in the edition of Time100 listing the hundred most influential people in the world.
An artist of great generosity, he has created the Lang Lang Music Foundation to help gifted young pianists in several countries around the world and an arts complex in China where students can attend masterclasses delivered by renowned tutors. He has worked with UNICEF and has been a Messenger of Peace for the United Nations since 2013.
It is in his native city of Shenyang in China, that Lang Lang has announced that he will be joining Hublot and its family of prestigious ambassadors. That's because he loves beautiful watches and because he and Hublot are very similar: Hublot honours tradition, linking it with the future, is involved in innovation, in the reinterpretation of grand complications and inthe Arts and Crafts.
Pioneering spirit, uniqueness and difference come naturally to both Lang Lang and Hublot.
From the outset, Hublot has embodied design and innovation that differ markedly from the established watchmaking order. With the impetus provided by Jean-Claude Biver, by 2004 these values had already become the basis of a new DNA, leading the brand to develop particularly audacious timepieces – most of them with a highly-developed sporting aspect.Find out more
