A former "Serie A" football player from 1969 to 1982, Marcello Lippi – whose Italian nickname is "Il Mister" (the English gentleman) – has one of the most impressive records of success as a coach: three Championship wins, two Italian Super Cups and one Champions League win with Turin-based club Juventus!
In 2012, he joined the Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande (for which Hublot is the Official Timekeeper) and went on to win the Chinese Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
On February 3rd, he paid a visit to Hublot as a brand ambassador. Welcomed by Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and President of the LVMH Group's Watch Division, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, Marcello Lippi has been able to admire the work of watchmakers and understand the steps involved in creating a watch, in particular the Big Bang Unico Chrono football retrograde – the watch dedicated to football.
