Maurice Lacroix welcomes German professional basketball player, Isaac Bonga to the ML Crew
This giant of a man plays for the NBA team, the Washington Wizards, and joins a group of talented individuals from around the globe who share an affinity with the Maurice Lacroix brand.
Standing 2.03m tall, Isaac Bonga is a formidable opponent on the basketball court. With his arms outstretched, his wingspan measures an incredible 2.13m. Quite simply, Isaac was born to play basketball. However, his journey to success has not been without obstacles along the way. When he was 14 years of age, he was omitted from the German national basketball team. This rejection proved a source of motivation and gave him the impetus to try harder. Indeed, Isaac’s unwavering ambition has been instrumental to him achieving his goals.
Despite being only 21, Isaac Bonga has already achieved so much. When he played for Germany against Serbia, he was the youngest ever player in the national team. Making his NBA debut he scored his first points against Memphis. Isaac has a distinctive playing style, best described as modern and relaxed. “Basketball requires players to be tough and passionate about what they do,” he says.

Time is an essential element of basketball. “...four quarters of 12 minutes, 8 seconds to reach the other half of the court, 3-second rule, 5-second rule and 24-second rule. Time often determines success or failure," explains Isaac.
For Isaac, a watch is an essential tool when it comes to timing. “I was seduced by the AIKON and its very urban and sporty design. I find this watch perfectly reflects my style! What’s more, I like the idea that the brand offers such high quality watches at affordable prices. It’s a state of mind that suits me,” says the sportsman.
“Behind Isaac’s casual style is an extremely talented player who has made a name in the NBA. We are very proud to accompany Isaac in his future performances as he perfectly represents the image of the ML Crew,” stated Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix.
