Cesare Cerrito studied business administration at Genoa University and has an MBA in Corporate Finance from the SDA Bocconi business school in Milan. A finance man at heart, he began his career in stockbroking with CAI Chevreux in London, then he moved on to various positions in investment banking and corporate finance between Milan and Geneva, before founding Coilltean Capital in Geneva, which specialises in the acquisition of lifestyle brands. That is how, in 2015, he came to buy the creative laboratory of Meccaniche Veloci, whose headquarters he transferred to Plan-les-Ouates the following year.
Cesare Cerrito, who has been passionate about watches and cars since his childhood, was captivated by the highly original and distinctively Italian style of these mechanical watches in their piston-shaped cases. Since taking the reins of Meccaniche Veloci as CEO, he has focused on preserving the brand’s stylistic identity while conferring on it all the advantages of high-quality Swiss manufacturing. To support him in his role as CEO, he relies on Ricardo Monfardino, well known in watch industry circles as Franck Muller’s sales director for almost fifteen years.
