The latest partner to join the Richard Mille family, Alexis Pinturault has ended this ski season in magnificent style.

Indeed, on March 16, Alexis Pinturault family finished on the podium of the alpine skiing world cup. His third place in the overall rankings with a total of 1028 points, just behind Aksel Lund Svindal (1091 pts), puts him just 196 points away from world number one Marcel Hirscher (1222 pts).

Alexis performed consistently throughout the season, demonstrating great versatility and talent. Along with the Olympic games in Sochi, where he won a bronze medal, the young skier from Courchevel accumulated a total of 3 victories, 8 podium finishes and 7 “top 10” appearances and all that at just 23 years of age. As the first French skier to step on the podium since Luc Alphand in 1997, he has undeniably confirmed that he is a future contender for the crystal globe. His extraordinary versatility enabled him to earn first place at the last Super-G and second place at the Giant Slalom in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) on 13th March 2014. All these results clearly indicate a very promising future and confirm his great level of maturity when facing more experienced champions.

Throughout the season, Alexis has been wearing a prototype Richard Mille watch. Specially adapted to skiers and currently developed with the young champion, the watch has resisted the extreme conditions imposed by alpine skiing in terms of both temperature and repeated impacts whilst ensuring optimal ergonomics.
